Oyo crisis: My burnt house worth N50m, says Igboho



Yoruba rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has said that what was destroyed at his old house set ablaze by arsonists cannot be worth anything less than N50 million.


Igboho’s old house in Soka was set ablaze by unidentified men in the early hours of Tuesday just hours after a meeting between Southwest Governors and members of Miyetti Allah.

ELON MUSK BECOME THE WORLD'S WEALTHIEST PERSON


 

Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla, overtook Amazon boss Jeff Bezos to become the world’s wealthiest person, US media reported Thursday.

Musk is a major shareholder of the electric car company and has benefited from Tesla’s surging share price over the last year. CNBC estimated his wealth at $185 billion.

The distinction is the latest superlative for the South African-born Musk, who also leads the aerospace venture SpaceX.

Tesla is widely seen as a pacesetter for the car industry as conventional automakers try to catch up in electric autos.

The Federal Government has listed fresh conditions for telecommunication service subscribers on sim card


 

The Federal Government has listed fresh conditions for telecommunication service subscribers to replace lost, stolen, misplaced or damaged SIM cards.

According to the Nigerian Communications Commission, subscribers must present their National Identification Numbers for their SIM cards to be replaced.

The National Identity Management Commission will also verify the National Identification Numbers presented by subscribers before Mobile Network Operators replace such SIM cards.

Sowore, Others Were Illegally Arrested, Brutalised In Abuja



Sowore and other activists were carrying out a peaceful procession to mark the New Year. The activists were almost done with their crossover procession when about seven loaded vans of the Nigerian security forces swooped on them, brutalising everyone at sight.

Eyewitnesses say police officers suspected to be the Rapid Response Squad stormed Gudu junction in Abuja, wounding Sowore before whisking him away with other activists from the location.

They were taken to Abattoir police station of the allegedly disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit in Abuja, where they are currently being tortured and detained.

According to sources, the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate in the 2019 elections was severely injured by the policemen.
