Anambra bans drinking of Garri in the state over Lassa fever

Due to the reported cases of Lassa fever in some parts of the country, the Anambra State Government has banned the drinking of Garri in other to prevent the contraction of the acute viral haemorrhagic illness.

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Akabuike made this known while educating residents of the state on measures to prevent the disease at a press conference in Awka.

He said, “The garri you see spread along the highway while you’re travelling is very risky to consume, especially when you drink it. It is better and surer consuming the ones you prepared yourself. We are by this enlightenment prohibiting the drinking of garri in the state.

“Like any other form of disease, good hygiene practices and taking precautions over all forms of symptoms among family members and friends will go a long way to curb the spread of diseases.

Comedian, I Go Die, has written a very interesting open to letter to President Muhammudu Buhari, calling on him to transfer political leadership to the youths.

In the open letter, the comedian wrote on some of the issues bordering the nation and also detailing most of President Buhari's achievement at his youthful age, requesting that he forfeit his second term bid.

Photo: 33-year-old man 'rapes' his neighbor's two hens to death in Kenya

Nomalcy was interrupted in Kapkwen area, Bomet county, Kenya after a man was apprehended got having engaged in ‘sexual intercourse’ with two hens, leading to their death.

According to reports, 33-year-old Alfred Kipkemoi Mutai alias Chesoni stole the two hens belonging to his neighbour on Saturday evening, January 20.

He is then reported to have engaged in the unnatural act all through the night and was nabbed in the morning sneaking out with the dead hens.

Alibaba Reacts To Davido’s Claim That He Made ₦500m From His 30 Billion Concert

Veteran comedian, Alibaba has reacted to Davido’s claim that he made N500m from his 30billion concert.

According to the comedian, its just a tip.

Alibaba, via instagram, added that the entertainment sector is a gold mine that activates commercial activities in allied sectors.

He wrote;

“This afternoon, at about 1pm, I got a message on my WhatsApp asking me to confirm if Davido can actually make the kind of money he claims to have made. I thought the sender was patronizing… or as we say in Warri “e dey use style find my mouth”. But this evening, I got another chat from a Banker, who wanted to know if the kind of money he is hearing could be made from a concert. I could not ignore this one. He is the Chief Risk Officer of a top 5 bank. So, I took my time to mention how possible it is to even make more than the figure he has heard being mentioned.

The teenager was featured by his mother in some photos on social media and judges ruled that the boy could lawfully request the removal of all his photos posted by his mother from the social media site.

Rapper, Cardi B has achieved yet another milestone by securing four of the top 10 tracks on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart, a record previously achieved by singer Beyonce.

According to Billboard, Cardi B placed four songs simultaneously in the top 10 of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (dated Jan. 13) for the second week in a row.
