Why we insist Igbo must go — Sule, AYCF scribe

Alhaji Ahmed Sule, Secretary, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, in this interview justified the Arewa youth coalition’s three months quit notice to the Igbo to leave the North, saying the North is tired of insults.

We have a sovereign state with sovereign powers, whether it is the President or whoever is charged with the responsibility, he is duty bound to take care of any situation that is going to threaten the unity of the country. What brought about the Kaduna declaration? Over the years you have the Igbo people – their idea of Biafra within a sovereign state has become like a child’s play. You don’t try to make jest of situations like that especially in a country like Nigeria. So the ACYF forum supports the quit notice to the Igbo to leave the North? Things are getting too much and we are getting used to allowing them get away with it. Why should you always be talking about Biafra? The Arewa youths have never talked about breaking away from this country, in fact all we do in our programme is making sure this country remains united. Is asking the Igbo to leave the North and the northerners in the South-East to come back to the North not part of attempts to break the country? When you make threats and get away with them, it is not healthy. The average northerner is looked upon in a very funny way and as an illiterate.

7 Important Steps to Becoming a Successful Model

1. KNOW YOUR MARKET

One of the most important steps to becoming a model is knowing your market. What does this mean? Well, for starters, depending on the area you live in, certain trends and looks are more popular than others. For instance, runway modeling and fashion show modeling are not as widespread as commercial modeling for print occasions like magazines, newspapers and store sales papers. Also knowing your market will help you know what look the agencies around you are looking for. Living in a suburban area, agencies aren’t looking for that sleek, ultra-sexy look with overstated hair or makeup like bigger cities are. In fact, the more natural look is actually preferred in suburban areas, while more trendy, sleek looks are wanted in the city. If your look doesn’t fit your market, move to an area that does, or consider traveling back and forth to an area that does. Also know whether you’re auditioning for a market that advertises petite sizes, plus sizes, certain clothing trends, or for a targeted market like natural living, city trends, cosmetic companies, etc. Research, research, research!

Republican-led Congress wants to repeal Obama's $200K pension because of his lucrative speaking fees and book deal

Since leaving the White House, Obama has racked up a load of cash in lucrative deals, which include speaking fees and a $65million book deal. The Republican-led Congress is not happy and are making plans to deprive him of his $200K a year pension. He's not the only one in the line of fire, as all future presidents will be affected if the bill scales through.

It's not the first time the issue has been raised, Obama vetoed the bill last year when he was president. Republican Rep.

 Jason Chaffetz said:

'The Obama hypocrisy on this issue is revealing. His veto was very self-serving.'

President Donald Trump has said he will not accept a salary during his time in office and he hasn't. He hasn't been paid any money since he became president.

It's unclear whether he could collect a pension after his tenure comes to an end.

Obama is charging as much as $400K per speech, which was his annual salary as president.
