Wife of Bishop Daniel Obinim that flogged his church members openly has come out to defend her husband.She also condemned those asking her husband to apologise to her for reprimanding her publicly.The pastor has beaten two teenage church members for alleged fornication and abortion before the congregation

Wife of the pastor of the head of the International Godsway Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim who flogged two teenage members of his church for alleged fornication and attempted abortion has come out to defend her husband.

 In a video uploaded on Youtube, Florence Obinim who is also a gospel singer said had God not revealed to her husband that the teenagers were planning to go for an abortion her family would have been ridiculed if the abortion had gone awry. She thanked God for using her husband to expose the two. She said:

 “Obinim has allowed himself to be used by God. As a mother, I didn’t even know my child was pregnant. If not for Angel Obinim whom God has gifted with visions, this would have been disastrous.” Florence also condemned suggestions that her husband owed her (the wife) an apology for allegedly reprimanding her openly in the church before the congregation.

Condemning Bishop Obinim’s act, a controversial counselor George Lutterodt said the bishop disrespected his wife and painted her in a bad light with the open rebuke.

 Still defending her husband,the gospel singer gave reason for her husband reprimanding her in public. She said the only time her husband would chastise her in public is when God is at work.

 “My husband has never reprimanded me in public. I have known my husband for years and he calls me honey and never by my first name Florence. So if he calls me Florence in public, then it is not him speaking but God at work. If he had reprimanded me by saying “honey” then I would have known that was my husband speaking.

” “At that time, the “Angel” was at work and so it’s not about husband and wife matters else God will disgrace you. So when he rebuked me, I knew it was God speaking. My husband has not wronged me in anyway so if you are asking that my husband apologises to me then it’s as though asking my father Jesus to apologise to me.”

Recall that this is not the first time Bishop Obinim will be involved in controversy. The Ghana based popular pastor made an alter call for men who want a bigger manhood during a healing service recently. He later went ahead to lay his hands on their manhood.
