Jamaican dancehall reggae artiste Beenie man is dead

Grammy award-winning Jamaican reggae dancehall recording artist Anthony Moses Davis better known by his stage nameas Beenie Man has died.

The “Who am I” hit maker contracted the Zika virus and Dengue about two months ago and underwent a series of blood test, injections and pills after which he recovered. He is reported to have complained of feverishness two weeks ago which raised an alarm about his recovery from the deadly virus.

He was rushed to the hospital last night after suffering from an Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). He died around 2.15 pm today, his family confirmed.

Beenie Man who was also referred to as the world’s “King of Dancehall” died at the age of 43.
