Wizkid and Olamide in brand new battle to see who will win MTV EMA’s Best African Act 2016.
Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, aka Wizkid, is a Nigerian recording artist, songwriter and performer. Olamide Adedeji aka Olamide Baddo, is a Nigerian hip hop recording artist who records mostly in Yoruba, his native tongue.
The MTV Europe Music Award has nominated Wizkid and Olamide as Best African act. The two artists are both Yoruba and one of the top in their genre but this new award has put then in a new fight for who will be crowned the winner.
The awards will hold on November 6 in Rotterdam. Other African acts nominated include South Africa’s biggest stars – Black Coffee and Cassper Nyovest. See the nominees below:
